也斯：香港著名诗人，散文家，原名梁秉钧，生于广东新会，美国加州大学比较文学博士，曾任教于香港大学比较文学系，现为岭南大学中文系教授，兼任人文学科研究中心主任。上世纪六十年代开始创作，译介法国，拉丁美洲小说及美国地下文学，撰写评论，任文艺刊物编辑，与友人创办杂志，推动本地文艺创作发展。作品有《雷声与蝉鸣》、《布拉格的明信片》、《食事地域志》、《游诗》、《半途》、《博物馆》、《越界书简》。

边沁（1748－1832），被公认为功利主义之父，将功利主义作为政治、法律等社会制度的理论基础，并全力呼吁对既有制度进行改革，从而成为英国政治、法律制度的改革家。 边沁12岁即进入牛津女王学院（Queen's College, Oxford），15岁毕业，1792年退隐世外、专注写作。边沁勤奋的著述生涯长达五十年，但他的作品能够得以出版，还得益于他的几位孜孜不倦的天才编辑，包括著名的学者詹姆斯·密尔（James Mill）和约翰·斯图亚特·密尔（John Stuart Mill）在内。
